China Central Television (CCTV) opened a special digital cable TV channel on Monday for high school students, their teachers and parents.

Shi Xiaoqiang, one of the senior executives of the channel, said outstanding teachers and education experts of the country will be invited to give lectures on a full range of subjects. The channel will also provide programs on juvenile psychology for teachers and parents, he said.

The TV programs can also be watched on the channel's website www.studytv.cn.

"The channel will allow as many students as possible to share quality education resources," Shi said.
