'Spring Bud Project' Helps 1.8 Mln Girls in 20 Years

Reporters learned from the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF) that the "Spring Bud Project" - charity projects which aim at assisting female school dropouts to return to school- has benefited over 1.8 million girls and provided practical technical training to over 400,000 girls.

According to information, since the "Spring Bud Project" was launched in 1989, it has raised funds of over 800 million yuan and built over 800 Spring Bud Schools. In recent years, in addition to continuing its financial aids to compulsory education, the Spring Bud Project has also extended financial aid to senior high school and university students. The project has also created programs such as the "Spring Bud Special Fund for Left behind Children" and the "Spring Bud Boarding Schools."
