NE's 1st Hi-speed Rail Link Opens

 The first intercity high-speed railway in northeast China, between Changchun and Jilin, opened on Jan.11. The railway line is 111 kilometers long and trains will reach speeds of up to 250 kilometers per hour. The new link will cut travel time between the two cities to 29 minutes from 90 minutes.

The first intercity high-speed railway in northeast China, between Changchun and Jilin, opened on Jan.11. The railway line is 111 kilometers long and trains will reach speeds of up to 250 kilometers per hour. The new link will cut travel time between the two cities to 29 minutes from 90 minutes. Trains will also stop at Longjia International Airport. The new high-speed link is expected to boost regional economic integration. [Xinhua]

The first intercity high-speed railway in northeast China which is linked between Changchun City and Jilin City opens on Jan.11. The total length of the railway line is 111 kilometers with the designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour. Longjia International Airport Station, Jiutainan Station and two more reserved stations are designed on the way. The railway will shorten the travel time between Changchun and Jilin from more than 90 minutes to 29 minutes which is of great significance in the process of regional economic integration. [Xinhua]
