Highspeed Railway Linking S China Cities Sets off Maiden Voyage

A train sets off on its maiden voyage from Hainan's capital Haikou to the famous tourist destination Sanya in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province, Dec. 30, 2010. The 308-kilometer highspeed railway connecting Haikou and Sanya opened on Thursday, allowing a maximum train speed of 250 kilometers per hour, or less than one and a half hours to travel from Haikou to Sanya.
