 The Chinese navy hospital ship Peace Ark is welcomed on its arrival at Dar es Salaam, the largest city in Tanzania, Oct 19, 2010.

The Chinese navy hospital ship Peace Ark is welcomed on its arrival at Dar es Salaam, the largest city in Tanzania, Oct 19, 2010. The ship will provide five days of medical treatment for locals and conduct medical exchanges. The ship set sail from East China's Zhejiang province on Aug 31, for visits to Djibouti, Kenya, Tanzania, the Seychelles and Bangladesh, to offer medical services for local residents. Peace Ark is the first hospital ship in the world with a 10,000-ton capacity. It has 428 soldiers, officers and medical workers on board. [Xinhua]
