A passenger sits at the port of Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan Province, on August 7, 2009. Navigation has resumed across the Qiongzhou Strait which separates Hainan from the Chinese mainland. A large number of passengers and tourists stranded on the island by the storm were still waiting for home.
