Three more A (H1N1) flu cases were confirmed on the Chinese mainland on Thursday, bringing the total number to 61.
A 35-year-old woman was tested A (H1N1) positive on Thursday morning in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, according to the provincial health administration.
The woman, the second confirmed A (H1N1) case in the province, arrived in Wuhan on May 30 on a flight from Dallas, the United States. The administration did not provide her flight details.
All five people who had close contact with her had been quarantined, said an administration official.
The second confirmed patient was a 24-year-old Chinese national who arrived in Beijing on May 31 from New York aboard Air China flight CA982, the Beijing Health Bureau said.
He was tested positive for the A (H1N1) late on Wednesday night at the Beijing Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Health authorities have confirmed 82 people had close contact with the man, 78 of whom were under medical observation.
Also on Thursday, north China's Shanxi Province reported its first confirmed A (H1N1) flu case, a 20-year-old man who returned from studies in Canada.
China has reported no deaths from A (H1N1) flu.
