Health authorities on Friday confirmed the first case of A/H1N1 flu identified on a child of twelve years old. The boy arrived in Ecuador on May 10 from Miami, the United States, where he traveled to have a surgery. This first confirmation must be submitted to a second confirmation in the Center of Diseases Control (CDC) in Atlanta, the United States, and the results will be ready in one week. [Xinhua]
