439 Mudflow-trapped Villagers Rescued in SW China

A total of 439 villagers were rescued after a rain-triggered mudslide damaged their homes in southwest China's Sichuan Province early on Thursday.

The mudslide occurred around midnight in Langhuan Village, Xichang City, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, sweeping through the village and crashing down on over 20 houses, and left several hundred of villagers trapped.
