The exhibition opening ceremony

Sponsored by China Disabled Person's Federation (CDPF) and Huaxia Culture Group of CDPF, the three-day exhibition aims to promote communication and cooperation among enterprises owned by disabled people.

The exhibits range from over 100 kinds of products, technologies to services, electronic goods, medical equipment, appliances for the aged and disabled, clothes, handicrafts, cosmetics, foodstuffs, healthcare products and training and traveling services.

The achievements of enterprises owned by disabled people fully reflect a remarkable spirit of self-reliance and hard work. The exhibition provides society in general an opportunity to learn about disabled people, what they're doing and their ability to participate in social activities as well as creating interesting business opportunities for themselves.

Wang Xinxian, vice chairman of CDPF, pointed out at the opening ceremony that the enterprises owned by disabled people were a major force in promoting the development of such opportunities for others. They were also important entities for disabled people to contribute in the creation of material and moral wealth for society as a whole. The participating enterprises had set an outstanding example for all disabled people and their efforts provided them with excellent experience.

Wang also said that the 11th Five-year Plan (2006-2010) for Disabled People approved by the State Council was a strong policy which supported the development of enterprises by those with disabilities over the next five years. This was a chance as well as a challenge and responsibility.
