Eight hundred migrant construction workers watched a free performance at a theater in Zhangjiang Town in Pudong New Area on Saturday. The performance, organized by the Pudong government, aimed to offer entertainment to migrant workers in their leisure time, so as to draw them away from harmful games like gambling, officials said. Migrant workers also received gifts of books and audiovisual products. With the successful experience, the activities will spread throughout the country soon.
