China Issues 687 Billion Yuan of Treasury Bonds
China's Ministry of Finance said it has collected 687.6 billion yuan (US$83.8 billion) worth of domestic treasury bonds in 2004.

China's national legislature approved in early 2004 the issuance of 685.7 billion yuan (US$83.6 billion) worth of treasury bonds, according to a news bulletin on the ministry's website.

The bonds the ministry issued include 441.4 billion yuan (US$53.8 billion) worth of book-entry treasury bonds, and 251 billion yuan (US$30.6 billion) worth of certificate treasury bonds, according to the bulletin.
