UNDP Helps China Reduce Poverty

Chinese government will focus on reducing poverty over the next four years, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program. Both sides have invested US$10 million in the project.

The United Nations Development Program will provide China with technical support in making its fiscal policies and advise on the allocation of financial resources.

In return China has pledged to increase investment in education and public health, enabling poor people to benefit from the economic progress.
