State Council Issues Order on Loans for Needy Students
The State Council, or China's cabinet, is discussing the issue of providing loans for college students with financial difficulties.

The meeting concluded with several decisions made.

Governments at all levels and relevant departments as well as financial institutions and colleges should strive to ensure that college students from poor families are provided with loans in a timely fashion.

Also, scholarships should be set up for excellent students with financial difficulties to encourage them in their studies.
