Vice Premier Promotes Chinese Traditional Medicine

China's Vice Premier Wu Yi attended a Chinese traditional medicine promotion campaign launched in Beijing on Saturday.

The three-year-long campaign will involve a series of activities promoting Chinese traditional medicines in every Chinese province, autonomous region and municipality.

It is expected to increase the knowledge of the Chinese people on traditional medicines and encourage hospitals to boost traditional medical services.

Wu launched the campaign at an opening ceremony in Beijing.

The first phase of the campaign will be focused in Beijing, Hebei, Shanxi, Liaoning and other places this year. More than three million traditional medicine brochures will be distributed.
