Food Inspections Carried out

The Shanghai Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision has carried out food and cosmetics quality inspections throughout the city to guarantee the market quality during the May Day holiday.

 

The bureau shut down nine illegal food production sites and destroyed their products. It has also closed 10 food companies without manufacturing permission, and seized more than 22,600 food products, valued at 265,000 yuan (US$34,150), officials said over the weekend.
