China's Red Cross Donates US$50,000 to Pakistan Quake Victims

The Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) on Friday donated US$50,000 to Pakistan's earthquake victims, which have amounted to more than 300 in northern part of southwestern Balochistan Province.

Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Luo Zhaohui presented a check of US$50,000 to Saeed Ahmed Qureshi, chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

Pakistan has offered much help to China when a major earthquake hit southwestern China in May, and China is just doing the same thing, said Luo.

The Chinese government on Thursday donated US$1 million to Pakistan.

Reports said that the death toll from Wednesday's earthquake in Pakistan's Balochistan Province has crossed 300.
