Croatian, Chinese Red Cross Sign Cooperation Agreement

Officials of the Croatian Red Cross and the Chinese Red Cross signed on Thursday a three-year cooperation agreement, said reports reaching in Belgrade from the Croatian capital Zagreb.
   
The agreement regulates the exchange of experience in water rescue operations and search and rescue operations, and also covers assistance to locals in case of disasters, the Croatian news agency HINA reported.
   
The agreement was signed by the Croatian Red Cross executive president Nenad Javornik and the Chinese Red Cross vice-president, Guo Changjiang, said the reports.
   
The Chinese Red Cross delegation was on a several-day visit to Croatia.
   
On Wednesday, the delegation visited the northern Adriatic resort of Novi Vinodolski, where their meetings with local Red Cross organization focused on various forms of work with young people in prevention of drug addiction and on voluntary blood donations.
