Four people were sentenced between 8 and 15 years in prison Thursday for stabbing a pedestrian with a syringe in Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The Municipal Intermediate People's Court of Urumqi handed down the sentences five days after it meted out sentences ranging from 7 to 15 years in jail to three people on Saturday.
