Harry Potter series, the Half-blood Prince, is scheduled to arrive in the riot-torn city of Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang, at noon time on Wednesday, the same day of the movie's global premier.

The movie was on show in other Chinese cities at midnight hour Tuesday. Xinjiang in China's far west has a two-hour time difference with Beijing.

Cinema managers in Urumqi said that the movie show was postponed to noon time for safety concerns.
