Li Fu was taking a bus home at around seven in the evening on July 5th when it was suddenly and viciously attacked by a rampaging mob. Although he tried to flee along with the other passengers,he was caught by the knife-wielding mob and nearly killed.

Li Fu said, I was stabbed twice. One wound on my backside was severe, and the other on my shoulder was bleeding heavily.Officer Yang happened by and helped me.

Yang Yong, Local Policeman, said, "It was very chaotic. The injured man was in critical condition and was bleeding profusely. My first thought was to take him to the hospital. As a policeman,it is my first duty to protect people and property."

As Yang carried Li to the emergency room, Aishanjiang,an ethnic Uygur hospital security guard, was just coming off-duty and on his way home. Witnessing Li's predicament, he stopped to assist Yang, and together they brought Li to the emergency room in time to save him.
