The Ningbo UBPA Case Pavilion is the only rural pavilion in the World Expo Park. It showcases Tengtou, a village in China's Ningbo City, which is considered a successful example of an urbanized villages in China, because it strikes a balance between developing tourism and protecting the environment.  [Xinhua]

Volunteers and visitors thresh the newly harvested rice at the Ningbo Urban Best Practice Areas (UBPA) Case Pavilion in the World Expo Park in east China'a Shanghai Municipality, Oct. 25, 2010. The Ningbo UBPA Case Pavilion is the only rural pavilion in the World Expo Park. It showcases Tengtou, a village in China's Ningbo City, which is considered a successful example of an urbanized villages in China, because it strikes a balance between developing tourism and protecting the environment. The rice in the pavilion were planted before the opening of the Shanghai World Expo. A ceremony was held on Monday to celebrate the harvest of the 0.7 Mu (about 466 square meters) rice field.
