Forty-eight young people who performed bravely in China's two devastating earthquakes in the past years have visited the ongoing Shanghai World Expo.
They went on the visit from July 27 to 29 at the invitation of the Civilization Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, the office said Friday.
The "little heros" came from the quake-hit Sichuan, Gansu, Shaanxi, Chongqing and Qinghai, the office said.
They visited the China Pavilion, the theme pavilions and some foreign countries' pavilions of the six-month Expo that runs through the end of October.
Southwest China's Sichuan Province was hit by a major earthquake on May 12, 2008 and Yushu in China's northwestern Qinghai Province was hit by another major earthquake on April 14 this year.
The 8.0 magnitude quake in Sichuan left more than 80,000 people dead or missing, while the 7.1-magnitude earthquake in Yushu left 2,698 people dead and 270 missing.
