Chinese Women's Congress Elects New Executive Council

Delegates to the Tenth National Women's Congress elected members of a new executive council of the All-China Women's Federation on Thursday.

In the vote held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, 255 members of the executive council were elected from 268 candidates.

The members include Chen Zhili, vice chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and other outstanding women in the country.
