Over 104,000 Inoculated Against A/H1N1 Flu in Macao

More than 104,000 people in Macao have been inoculated with the A/H1N1 vaccines so far, according to the figures released on Monday by Macao's Health Bureau.

A total of 687 people were inoculated with the vaccines on Monday alone, which was initiated by the Bureau in late November last year, according to the Health Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) government.

Meanwhile, the Bureau reported one newly confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu on Monday, bringing the total number of such cases to 3,581 since June 18 last year, of which two patients died.

Two patients infected with the A/H1N1 flu were admitted into a local hospital for medical treatment on Monday.

The SAR government has announced that it had ordered some 700,000 doses of A/H1N1 vaccines. Local medical staff, children, old people and patients with chronic disease were among the group of local people who were firstly inoculated with these vaccines.
