A total of 77,155 people in Macao have been inoculated with the A/H1N1 vaccines so far, Macao's Health Bureau announced on Friday.
Some 1,860 people were inoculated with the vaccines on Friday alone, which was initiated by the Bureau in November last year.
Despite recording one case of death after inoculation, the vaccines are safe and taking the flu jabs will bring more health security than risks, which was approved by experts of the World Health Organization and various nations, said Cheong U, secretary for social and cultural affairs of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).
According to the statistics from the Health Bureau, there was no new A/H1N1 flu cases reported in local hospitals by Friday.
