A/H1N1 Flu Cases Continue to Fall in Spain

The number of cases of the A/H1N1 flu in Spain continue to decline sharply according to the figures published by the Spanish Ministry of Health Thursday.

The level of infection now stands at 77.72 cases per 100,000 inhabitants with just 34,084 new cases registered during last week.

In this previous week, the level of infection stood at 151.42 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while two weeks ago it was at 243.71 cases per 100,000.

The virus has now claimed a total of 232 lives in Spain, although the mortality rate remains low at 0.19 deaths per 1,000 cases.
