A pig farm belongs to a Saraburi campus of Bangkok's Kasetsart University Thursday is now quarantined after a pig of the farm was found infected with the A/H1N1 influenza.
The A/H1N1-influenza-infected pig of this farm now has already recovered.
The pig farm, which is part of a research center of the Saraburi campus of Kasetsart University, is located in Tab-guang sub-district of Gang-khoui district in a central province of Saraburi, Thai News Agency reported.
The quarantine has been announced after earlier the A/H1N1-infected pig was confirmed by both the Thai public health ministry and agriculture ministry.
Under the quarantine declaration, nobody is allowed to enter into the research center as the Department of Livestock Development has also set up a check point to contain movements of pigs in the area.
However, it is found that local community members are not panic over the spread of the new virus to the pig and no one is sick of the A/H1N1 virus.
In a related development, the agriculture ministry has campaigned to seek cooperation from raisers not to enter in to their pig farms if the raisers themselves develop the flu-liked symptoms.
The pig raisers need to see doctor immediately and if their pigs are sick they must report the matter to the Department of Livestock Development quickly.
