Death Toll of A/H1N1 Flu Rises to 60 in Turkey

Turkey has seen 20 more deaths caused by the A/H1N1 flu, bringing death toll of the deadly disease to 60 in the country, said Turkey's Health Ministry on Friday.
Altogether 202 people infected with the flu were under treatment in hospitals and 40 of them were in intensive care units, the ministry announced on its website.
Turkey has witnessed a fast rise of A/H1N1 flu deaths during the past few weeks, with the first A/H1N1 flu case appearing on May 15. The first death case was a 28-year-old male hospital janitor in Ankara, who died on October. 24.
More than 250,000 health care workers have been vaccinated in Turkey since last week, while vaccinations for children aged between 6 months and 5 years and people with chronic diseases will start on Nov. 16, the ministry said.
