The arrival of cold weather is seeing an increasing number of A/H1N1 flu cases. The situation in Mexico and the US is cause for concern.

Latest figures from Mexican health authorities show a record increase of more than 17 thousand cases in October.

97 of the patients have died. So far, Mexico has reported over 50 thousand confirmed cases in total, with 328 deaths.

In the US, health officials are increasing vaccine supplies. They say as of Tuesday, more than 22 million doses of vaccine had been available, with more to come in the next few weeks.

They expect to have as many as 225 million doses if needed. But many say it's still hard to predict what will happen in the next few months.
