A spokesman for Hong Kong Department of Health said there had been 116 newly confirmed cases of A/H1N1 influenza in the 24 hours to 2:30 PM (0630 GMT) in Hong Kong on Thursday.

The new cases involve 61 males and 55 females, aged between 1 and 84, the spokesman said.

This brings the total number of A/H1N1 influenza cases in Hong Kong to 2,207, said the spokesman.
