Russia has officially confirmed nine A/H1N1 flu cases, chief sanitary inspector Gennady Onishchenko said on Monday.

There are also some suspected flu cases, the Itar-Tass news agency quoted him as saying. "The final diagnosis will come within the next two days," he said.

Onishchenko said all cases registered in Russia were found in those who returned to Russia from holiday or business trips abroad.
