Hong Kong has confirmed 58 new cases of influenza A/H1N1 in the past 24 hours as of 2:30 PM on Saturday, taking the total to 1,236 in the city, according to local health authorities.

A spokesman for the Department of Health of Hong Kong on Saturday said the new cases involved 26 males and 32 females, aged between 2 and 55 years old.
