The six newly confirmed cases included three locally-infected ones and three imported ones, according to Macao's Health Bureau.
The three locally-infected cases were all local primary school students, a girl and two boys aged between seven and 10, according to the Bureau. All of the three young patients had close contact with a boy who previously tested positive for the virus.
The other three imported cases concerned two local primary students and a 20-year-old Australian young man. The two local young patients had respectively been to Indonesia, Malaysia and Greece, while the Australian showed flu symptoms after arriving at the Macao International Airport.
Aside from the confirmed cases, a total of 108 persons were put under medical observation at their own residences, according to the Bureau.
