A spokesman for the Hong Kong Department of Health said there had been 33 newly confirmed cases of A/H1N1 influenza in the 24 hours by 2:30 PM (0630 GMT) on Saturday.

This brings the total number of A/H1N1 influenza cases to 629 in Hong Kong, the spokesman said.

The new cases involve 22 males and 11 females, aged between 2 and 52, said the spokesman.
