As four more confirmed cases of Influenza A/H1N1 were reported on Wednesday, Macao's cumulative number of the A/H1N1 flu cases has reached 12 so far.
The four newly confirmed A/H1N1 flu cases were all imported, which involved three local residents, aged between 19 and 24, and a six-year-old Indian boy who visited Macao, according to Macao's Health Bureau (SSM).
One of the local patient studies in the United Kingdom who took the same flight back to Macao with a previous confirmed patient, while the other two residents have traveled to Thailand and Singapore respectively, the SSM said.
So far, all but one of Macao's 12 confirmed influenza A/H1N1 cases was locally infected.
For the time being some 11 patients were receiving medical treatments in local hospital, two of whom have already recovered and will soon be discharged from the hospital, said the SSM.
Given the increasing number of confirmed cases of influenza A/ H1N1, Macao's Coordination Center of Influenza Tuesday raised the pandemic alert level to phase six, which means the situation is normal, with only a number of confirmed cases found, and no death recorded.
Macao's first confirmed case was reported on June 18.
