Honduras Confirms 1st Death from A/H1N1 Flu

Honduran Health Minister Carlos Aguilar confirmed on Monday the first death from the A/H1N1flu in the country.
The patient was a 23-year-old woman from the west of the country and she had six months of pregnancy.
Aguilar said that the woman's husband is also sick, and he is hospitalized in Cholama, Cortes, north of the country.
"At the beginning the samples tested negative, but later the analysis confirmed the woman was positive for A/H1N1 flu," Aguilar said.
Aguilar also said that the positive cases in the country rose from 108 to 118, adding "Those results were from 759 samples."
The ages of the patients infected with the H1N1 flu in the country range from five to 30 years old, most of who live in the north of the country and to the moment only one patient from Cortes department has been hospitalized.
Honduras reported its first case of the H1N1 flu on May 21 in San Pedro Sula city, capital of Cortes, 240 km north of capital Tegucigalpa.
