Taiwan reported four new A/H1N1 influenza cases on Tuesday, bringing the total on the island to 55, according to the local epidemic prevention department.

Among the 55 cases, 54 patients had been overseas. Twenty-eight patients had recently been to Thailand and 20 returned from the United States.

The local health department noted that between June 13 and 16, all new cases involved patients who arrived from Thailand or the United States.

The health department warned people not to go to flu-affected areas and report to local hospitals as soon as possible if they had fever or respiratory symptoms within seven days after returning from overseas.
