Saudi Arabia health authorities announced on Friday three new cases of influenza A/H1N1, bringing to six the number of such cases in the kingdom, the official SPA news agency reported.

The father and two sisters (five and seven years old) of a Saudi boy were diagnosed with A/H1N1 flu after undergoing tests, said a statement released by the health ministry.

According to Abdullah al-Rabia, Saudi Health Minister, the three-and-a-half-year-old boy was diagnosed with A/H1N1 flu on Thursday. His family arrived in Saudi Arabia from the United States last Sunday.

Last week, Saudi Arabia confirmed its first A/H1N1 case , while a Philippine nurse returning from her annual vacation during which she has visited some Asian countries.

The World Health Organization on Friday raised its tally of officially confirmed A/H1N1 flu cases to 29,669 worldwide, a day after it declared a A/H1N1 flu pandemic -- the first global flu epidemic in 41 years.
