Malaysia would remain cautious against Influenza A/H1N1 as it expected the illness might continue to spread till the end of this year.

Malaysian Health Minister Liow Tiong Lai said on Tuesday that Malaysia would have to continue its precautionary measures in the long-term.

Liow urged the public to keep good hygiene and avoid crowded areas to minimize infection.

He also hoped that Malaysians temporarily refrained from traveling to the countries with the flu epidemic.

Malaysia did not record any new quarantine case on Tuesday, he told reporters in Shah Alam, capital of central Malaysia's Selangor State.

Malaysia confirmed two cases of Influenza A/H1N1 last month. On Tuesday, 26 suspects of Influenza A/H1N1 reportedly were admitted to isolation wards in hospitals for diagnoses, and ten of them were still under home quarantine, waiting for results.
