7 More Israelis Diagnosed with A/H1N1 Flu

Seven more Israelis were diagnosed with influenza A/H1N1 virus on Monday, bringing the total confirmed cases in the Jewish state to 33, local daily Ha'aretz reported.
Israeli Health Ministry said that all the new patients, who range in age from 19 to 54 years old, are in good condition, and that one of them has already been released from hospital.
Two of the new patients had just returned from the United States, the report said.
Earlier in the day, the 26th case of A/H1N1 flu was diagnosed in Israel. According to local news service Ynet, the patient, a 19-year-old youth, was hospitalized after being diagnosed with the virus.
The youth, who is in good condition, contracted the virus in Israel from a friend who returned from the United States, said Ynet.
Cases of the fatal flu virus have been diagnosed over the past few days in Israel.
According to the World Health Organization, 53 countries have officially reported 15,510 cases of A/H1N1 infection, including 99 deaths, as of Friday.
