Peru Reports 2 New Cases of A/H1N1 Flu

The Peruvian Health Ministry confirmed two new cases of the A/H1N1 flu on Sunday, raising the total number of infections in the country to 40.

The two patients, aged 22 and 27, are receiving medical treatment at home and both are in good condition, said a statement of the ministry.

Peru's health system is well prepared to continue to fight the epidemic and is able to deal with any emergency, the ministry said.

It also said a total of 185,319 passengers and 11,627 crew members have undergone medical checks at Lima-Callo airport since April 24.
