3 Possible Cases of A/H1N1 Flu Reported in Uruguay

Uruguayan health authorities were trying to confirm on Friday whether three patients with flu-like symptoms are A/H1N1 flu cases, two days after the confirmation of the first two cases in the country.

Public Health Minister Maria Julia Munoz told the press that the possible cases are in the northwestern city of Salto, northern city of Rivera and border area with Argentina and Brazil respectively.

The three cases were back from trips to Argentina, a country has at least 44 cases of the new flu.

Munoz said another six patients with similar symptoms are under medial observation and their samples are being analyzed.

Uruguayan government confirmed on Wednesday the first two cases of H1N1 flu.
