Israel Detects 11th A/H1N1 Flu Case

The 11th influenza A/H1N1 case was detected on Wednesday in Israel, an Israeli Health Ministry spokeswoman told Xinhua.
According to Einav Shimron, the spokeswoman, the patient is a 20-year-old man who returned to Israel from the United States several days ago.
"He did not feel well and went to the hospital. It turned out later that he contracted the virus," said Shimron on the phone.
Earlier, local news service Ynet reported that the patient was hospitalized in isolation at the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in central Israel.
According to the latest data of the World Health Organization and governments, at least 47 countries and regions have confirmed more than 12,950 A/H1N1 flu cases. A total of 100 people have died of the flu worldwide, with 85 in Mexico, 12 in the United States, two in Canada and one in Costa Rica.
