The British Health Department on Wednesday confirmed a new A/H1N1 flu case, putting the total number of cases in the UK at 185.
The latest case was that of an adult traveler returning from the East Midlands region, the department said.
The department said localized cases of A/H1N1 flu in Britain have been mild so far and it has not seen evidence of widespread community transmission.
"Our strategy of containing the spread with anti-viral appears to have been effective in reducing symptoms and preventing further spread of infection," a Health Department spokesperson said.
