Peru Reports 11 New Confirmed Cases of A/H1N1 Flu

Peruvian Health Ministry on Thursday said in a communique that the infected cases of the A/H1N1 flu in the country rose from five to 16, while confirming 11 new cases.
The ministry said that in the last 24 hours there were 11 new cases confirmed, among which eight are students from private high schools, who returned from their vacations in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and another student who returned from Argentina.
According to the ministry the patients were under medical control and anti viral treatment and in quarantine at their homes.
The ministry said that all the patients have had a good evolving since they were treated on time, adding that the chance to have an epidemic in the country is not big.
Travelers arriving in Peruvian airports must declare if they have the H1N1 flu symptoms or not.
Till Thursday the number of confirmed cases of the flu in the world was 11,081 in 42 countries and 85 people died of it.
The United States is the country with the largest number of infected people of 5,710, eight of them died, followed by Mexico with 3,892 cases and 75 deaths, and Canada with 719 cases and one death.
