The seventh influenza A/H1N1 case was detected on Friday in Israel since the global outbreak emerged, local news service Ynet reported.

The patient is a woman, said the report, adding that she was infected with the flu virus during her stay in the United States.

The woman returned to Israel on El Al flight from New York which landed in Tel Aviv on Sunday.

Israeli Health Ministry called on anyone who was on the flight and has symptoms of flu to rush to an emergency room.
