Vietnam Reports Another A/H1N1 Suspected Case

Health officials of the Ho Chi Minh City authority said that that a Malaysian traveler arriving at the city's Tan Son Nhat International Airport on Thursday showed the flu-like symptom, said the local media on Friday.

The 67 year-old tourist named Soohar was detected of having a high body temperature. She was isolated and taken to the city's Tropical Diseases Hospital for A/H1N1 tests, said the local newspaper Pioneer.

The test result is expected to come out on Friday, said the newspaper.

Vietnam confirmed 16 out of 17 people suspected if having the A/H1N1 flu have tested negative for the virus since the flu was declared to be the epidemic of the 6-phase level by WHO, said health officials of Vietnam.

So far, there have been 74,271 travelers to Vietnam through theTan Son Nhat International Airport, 7,365 of them from the epidemic-hit areas.

Vietnam's health officials had ordered relevant agencies to strengthen inspection at all border gates to ensure no possible appearance of the flu in Vietnam.
