Hong Kong SAR health authorities say there have been no new patients needing to go to hospitals for swine flu tests. Among the seven suspected patients being tested, five have been confirmed to be free of the virus. Results for the remaining two are pending. Macao says no cases have been detected in the region.

A spokesman from Hong Kong's Food and Health Department says surveillance at boundary control points will be enhanced to guard against the swine flu. All in-bound passengers at the Hong Kong International Airport will be required to complete health declaration forms and undergo temperature screening. Hong Kong will launch a campaign to step up disinfection work at public facilities.

Macao residents are being urged to be vigilant in guarding against the risk of the pandemic. Authorities have stepped up surveillance at airports, tourist attractions and checkpoints. The public is also being reminded to store adequate anti-viral drugs at home in case of a flu outbreak.
