Indonesia imposed travel warning to Mexico following the swine flu outbreak in the country, the private television station Metro TV quoted an official as saying on Thursday.
"However, the warning is different from travel ban. People still can go to Mexico but they will get some information and precaution advices before," said Bayu Krisna Mukti, the head of Organizing Committee of the National Commission of Bird Flu and Influenza Pandemic Alert.
He also said that the government started to distribute antiviral medicine and personal protection kits to health departments and facilities to anticipate possible spread of the new H1N1 virus.
According to him, the moves was the part of the government's readiness to anticipate the possible flu spread to human following the World Health Organization (WHO)'s decision to increase the pandemic alert level to phase 5 from phase 4.
